2011 Dodge Charger R/T
Results have been coming in from all the best auto experts and reviews from all over the United States. The results are proving true that the Chrysler brand continues to improve in several of their categories for each of their vehicles segments.
Don’t believe us? See what the experts have been saying:
Consumer Reports said that the Dodge Durango and Charger are the two most improved vehicles out of eight new Chrysler models, showing that the company’s effort to improve its vehicles is on the right track, the Detroit Free Press reported.
The influential magazine put eight Chrysler Group vehicles that were updated for 2011 through its standard battery of tests, which cover everything from steering to fuel efficiency to seat comfort, according to the Associated Press.
Consumer Reports said the Dodge Durango, Dodge Charger and Chrysler Town & Country all performed “very good” in a series of about 50 tests, the Free Press reported.
According to Auto week, Consumer Reports found the automaker’s gains varied from model to model. David Champion, senior director for the Consumer Report’s Auto Test Center, told Autoweek: “We see major improvements for models that have had a significant redesign. When Chrysler invests the time and money in a true redesign, the result has been a much more competitive model.”
CNNMoney.com pointed out that while it normally takes about five years for automakers to develop an all-new product, Chrysler designers and engineers spent much of the last two years improving the vehicles it was already selling, rather than simply wait for all-new models.
“I think we are going to see a bump in sales of Chrysler vehicles,” Champion said in an interview with the Windsor Star. “I think the people who have got them; especially the more heavily redesigned ones are going to be really impressed with them.”
